In 2010, Easthampton offered 40 community garden plots on land that I helped to protect in 2006.
I got one and grew some wonderful veggies. When I was planting, I asked my friend Ilona if she had any requests.
Her answer – carrots. I planted a variety w/3 colors. White is the color of wild carrots/Queen Anne’s lace.
Orange carrots were introduced in the 17th century in the Netherlands.
